Yes, they do. Upon arrival at the Anchorage airport, claim your bags first, and then go to the hotel kiosk in the baggage claim area. Find and push the Millennium button to contact them to have them pick you up. Their shuttle is not a continuously-running one; it is on-demand only. They won’t know to come get you unless you call them. The hotel personnel will tell you where to go at the airport to be picked up.

One of the Science at Sea participants from Colorado called today to let us know about continuing education credit that is available through the Department of Education for educational travel. Translation… she’ll receive credit for attending Science at Sea! After reviewing the Science at Sea educational itinerary and curriculum posted on our website, Lisa’s Principal said that she would be happy to approve this experience for professional development credit.

We are just a few weeks away from Science at Sea and the big question is… Do you have your passport? According to new federal regulations, effective June 1, 2009 cruise ship passengers are REQUIRED to have a valid passport or passport card as identification.
If you have not applied for your passport yet, time is running out. Currently, passport processing times are 4-6 weeks, which means you would need to have your passport expedited. However, expedited processing can still take 2-3 weeks. The charge for expediting is $60 plus the cost of overnight shipping. You can download the application form from the government travel website and apply for your passport at most post offices nationwide.

Hello everyone! For those of you that elected to have paper documents, I just received them today from Carnival. Keep an eye out for them to show up in your mail box in the next week. If you asked for electronic documents when you filled out your FunPass, then I will not be sending anything to you and you need to make sure you print off your documents from the website. The people with electronic documents are Cavett, Elmendorf, Lovelace, Kemmler, Hendren, Schaflein, Lazar, Biegel, Zinnen, and Bekkers. The most important part is to have Carnival luggage tags and your Carnival boarding pass printed from the FunPass Check In. After you received your paper documents, please look them over and let me know if you have any questions.
