I know two of those teachers! Mrs. Hamilton & Mrs. Goree from Alabama teach at my son’s school and said they really enjoyed the boot camp. My son will be attending their science academy this summer. Thanks to Mrs. Hamilton my son now watches your videos on your website.
Atlanta science boot camp was my favorite conference/workshop of all time. Don’t pass up an opportunity to go to one if you get the chance. My son is still insanely jealous that he can’t go to one but he’s having fun using all the experiements that were meant for school—guess I need to place another order FAST.
Hi,
I actually did the water turning into a solid and my 2nd grade class loved it. We worked it along with Earth Day. I cut open a baby diaper and we got some polymers. Then we took a new diaper and guessed and then pour water into it to see how much water it would hold. Our size 2 diaper tapped out at 3 cups. They were amazed that a diaper could hold that much water. Then we finished by neutralizing the polymer with table salt and we turned it back into liquid form. Every child got to take a little home in a zip-lock too. Thanks! KK
This is a really cool workshop for the teachers. I hope there will be another workshop for non-teachers too.
