Surprise School Assembly Teaches Elementary Students How to Make it Snow at Home!

When you spend your days processing orders, building cool products and shipping out hundreds of boxes, it’s easy to lose track of the people (young and old) who are playing with all of these science toys. Today, our staff got the opportunity to visit students at East Elementary in Littleton, Colorado to share some of their own hands-on science fun. Earlier in the week, I pulled our staff from the customer service department and everyone in our distribution center to get a quick lesson in how to create an instant snow blizzard in the hands of every student in the school.

Then it was off to the school early this morning with lots of water pitchers, plastic cups and almost a hundred pounds of Insta-Snow powder to share with the students. I also packed up a few of my favorite science demonstrations to kick things off at the morning all-school assembly. There’s just nothing that compares to the feeling you get when you see real wonder in the eyes of children. The kids at East Elementary shared the best gift ever – wonder.
