Science Birthday Cake – Periodic Table

elementcake2.jpg
… your parents make you a Periodic Table of Elements cake! Kaleb’s parents threw him a science theme birthday party filled with exploding soda, rockets and a 20 foot egg drop challenge. The cake above fed nearly 100 guests who attended the blow out. Just one question… What are you going to do for 9.5? Happy Birthday, Kaleb!

Just want to give a big THANKS to Steve. I watched nearly all his video clips on-line to get science experiment ideas for my son’s 8.5 birthday party (his birthday is in December, but we wait til summer to have the party). I duplicated several of the experiments and even incorporated them into the “games” – where we did exploding rockets (those who went the farthest got a prize), the Mentos/pop geyser (the highest one got a prize), the egg drop in a glass (those who got it in the glass got a prize) and we also built egg crates and did a 20 foot egg drop. We had 40+ kids and they all had a blast (I bought 4 of the geyer tubes so we went in groups of 4 and it was most fun when they tipped over the bottle and sprayed the audience…)

Anyway, without your website (or the tubes) the party wouldn’t have been so popular. Everyone was asking where I got the tubes, so I referred them to your site.

I thought, being a scientist and all, you might appreciate a picture of the “cake” – it was my son’s idea as we had nearly 100 people here (parents stayed too)…

Science ROCKS – thanks for being my coach through this party!
